Exam Overview

The CPHIMS exam consists of 115 multiple-choice questions (100 scored and 15 unscored pilot items) administered over 120 minutes at Pearson VUE testing centers or via live online remote proctoring. Questions span three domains and test recall, application, and analysis of realistic healthcare IT scenarios. Recertification is required every three years through continuing education or re-examination.
